Some of the common sore throat causes are common virus infections like flu, breathing through mouth which causes dryness and soreness, bacteria like streptococcus etc.

Sore throat cure is usually expensive when treated with medicines. Further in cases of immediate sore throat relief one will find the home remedies for sore throat handy.

Treatment for sore throat:

Some of the common sore throat remedies are

Gargling- It’s the best remedy. Pour around 4 teaspoons of salt in a liter of water and gargle with this water after warming it. This provides immediate relief from sore throat.

Boil water and add a teaspoon of cumin seeds to it along with some garlic. Simmer, cool it and drink in small sips. This helps in getting relief from sore throat.

Add one teaspoon of honey, black pepper and cinnamon powder to a glass of lukewarm water and drink like tea.

Add a teaspoon of juice extracted from bark of mango tree to a glass of lukewarm water and gargle with it.

In case of a persistent sore throat follow the treatment daily for about 4-5 days. If you have cough and sore throat I would recommend you to follow the cinnamon treatment. Further add a few leaves of Tulsi to the mixture. What ever may be the scenario always remember to drink plenty of fluids along with the treatments you follow. honey, black pepper and cinnamon powder really work. I added some “Tulsi ” leaves and a spoonful of honey and drank it as a tea. I felt better in 5 minutes.

…some grated ginger boiled in the tea really helps..
